Mark your calendars for our clinics and tryouts coming up and follow the steps below!

2. CLICK HERE to access the Recommendation Form. This needs to be sent to 5 of your teachers: 1 math, 1 science, 1 social studies, 1 ELA, and 1 elective teacher.
​
3. Read through and sign the Lindbergh Flyerettes Dance Team Tryout Information Packet. Return digitally to Coach Gelven (mgelven@lindberghschools.ws) or physically by the mandatory clinic on March 9th.
​
All events will be held in the Lindbergh High School Multi-Purpose Room.
Tryout Information & Important Dates:

Optional Clinics: March 3rd and March 5th 3:30 - 4:45 pm

Mandatory Clinic: Monday, March 9th 3:30 - 4:45 pm

Skills Audition: Monday, March 23rd 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Final Audition Choreography sessions: March 24th and March 25th 3:30 – 5:30 pm

Final Audition: Thursday, March 26th 3:30 – 6:00 pm

Mandatory First Team Meeting: Tuesday, April 7th; 3:30 p.m. in the North Cafeteria at Lindbergh High School

Mandatory First Parent Meeting: Tuesday, April 7th from 6:00 p.m. in the North Cafeteria at Lindbergh High School

New Team Celebration: We will be celebrating the new team at a date/time TBD. All family members are welcome!
Dance Skill Requirements:
Please click HERE and see page 3 for a full list of requirements to become a JV Flyerette and Varsity Flyerette as well as the goal for each member throughout the season. If you have any questions about the skills that will be evaluated at tryouts, please contact a member of the coaching staff.​
Kick Combinations
Dancers will show both of the below kick combinations at the Skills Audition. They will be reviewed at all clinics. ​
Turn Combinations
Dancers can choose which of the 4 turn combinations they would like to show at the Skills Auditions. They will be reviewed at all clinics. ​
Fight Song
Fight Song will be reviewed at all clinics. Dancers are encouraged to watch the videos and learn ahead of time to be best prepared. ​
Skills
All of the following skills will be performed at the Skills Audition. The amount of pirouettes a dancer chooses to show at the audition is up to the individual dancer, but please take a look at the skills requirement sheet for each team to be prepared. ​
​
*In the 2026 - 2027 tryouts, a right aerial will be a required skill to make the Varsity Flyerettes. However, it is not a requirement for the JV level. Other acrobatic skills are not a requirement for any level, but can be showcased at tryouts.
Required Physical & Payment of Fines

Completed Register My Athlete profile. During this process, you will complete the following documents within Register My Athlete:

Physical completed and signed by a physician and dated July 1, 2025 or after if physical is good for 2 years. Some physicians mark only good for 1 year. Upload under the MSHSAA Physical Form section on Register My Athlete. If physical will expire need to get a new physical before tryouts begin. If cannot get into your primary care doctor, you can go to Urgent Care.
